Tommy has dedicated almost three decades of his life to the culinary world as a chef in New Jersey. From the very beginning, he knew that his ultimate goal was to become the proud owner of his own restaurant. It all began when he took his first job in a bustling kitchen, where his love for cooking ignited & has been burning ever since.
Tommy opened the restaurant on December 10, 2023, in the charming town of Shokan, NY. While Tommy specializes in Italian & French cuisine, he believed that the town would benefit from a small American restaurant offering fresh homemade meals cooked daily in the kitchen.

The name "Lj's" holds a special meaning as it stands for Louis & Jeanette. Louis played a significant role in Tommy's life, acting as a second father & shaping him into the chef he is today. Tommy started by washing dishes for Louis at the original Lj's in New Jersey, but it was there that Louis convinced him to get hands-on in the kitchen during his late teens. They had a dream of opening a restaurant together, but sadly, Louis passed shortly after before they could make it happen.
NOW, with Lj's Restaurant & Private Caterers, Tommy is keeping Louis' legacy alive & making sure his influence on his life continues to shine through every dish. It's a beautiful tribute to their friendship & the passion they shared for the culinary world.
